I've spent more than a decade writing about technology and cybersecurity, from explaining highly technical products and zero day vulnerabilities to the considerably harder problem of explaining why any of it matters.

I've worked with established technology companies, cybersecurity startups, product teams, researchers, engineers, and executives to turn complicated ideas into stories people can actually understand. I make it my mission to become your favorite SME’s best friend and turn the knowledge inside their head into excellent marketing. Sometimes that's a product launch or positioning strategy. Sometimes it's a white paper, research report, or sales enablement campaign. And sometimes it's staring at a deeply technical subject until I find the right way to make the whole thing click.

I don't believe good cybersecurity marketing requires making everything sound terrifying, revolutionary, or next-gen. It requires understanding the technology, understanding the audience, and knowing how to connect the two.

That's what I do.

Cybersecurity is complicated.

Writing about it doesn’t have to be.

So, who's Coco?

Before there was Coco Cyber, there was Coco.

Coco was my husband’s and my first dog, a rescue corgi from Taiwan who eventually found herself living in San Francisco and spending an unreasonable amount of time in tech offices.

She came to work with us. She sat through meetings. She politely existed under desks and was, at one point, the honorary sixth member of a SIRT team. She quietly supervised a significant portion of my career.

Years later, when I started my own cybersecurity marketing consultancy, there was really only one name it could have: Coco Cyber.

She was there for the beginning of my career in tech. The name gets to come along for whatever happens next.
